Few days ago, D’banj and Don Jazzy abandoned their personal beefs, egos and betrayals to hang out as friends, no matter how short this second reunion might have lasted, it has given us a tiny glimpse of hope that they may come together and do something for us, Mo’Hit Records, they were once one of Africa’s most vibrant record labels and will always be mentioned in the growth of the Nigerian music, it could have been a global music label envy if it has not broken, today, the guys have move on with their careers but the swag and music finesse which was unique about their music is missing.In the beginning, they met in London and formed Mo’Hit Records in 2004, this pushed the career of D’Banj, with hit singles, debut album, No Long Thing, released the following year with hit singles like Tongolo, Mo bolowon and other releases, Run Down and The Entertainer, the Don, the CEO was always featured in the videos of D’Banj and watchers in the industry felt the team were inseparable and were going to rock the scene for a long time.
They finally met Kanye West, which was a grand opportunity to rub shoulders with the movers and shakers of world hip hop music, but it was alleged that Kanye had a bad influence on the Kokomaster, which did not go down well with the Don. The news of their breakup did not take time to come…
