Jim Iyke Arrested For Fighting In Ghana

 

Nigerian Nollywood actor, Jim-Iyke, may have gone back to his old ways of being in the news for the wrong reasons, as he was reportedly arrested in Ghana after being involved in a public fight.
According to a Ghanaian Entertainment website, OMG Ghana, the brawl took place at the Crave Café at Adjiringanor, East Legon, Accra.
Going by accounts given by the site, Jim who has relocated to Ghana after his spiritual deliverance by Prophet TB Joshua, arrived to café in a Sports Chevy car to meet up with another Nigerian who had earlier arrived in a Range Rover, apparently to wait for the ‘born again’ actor.
The report continued that the meeting turned heated as Jim and the friend argued back and forth over an alleged $10, 000, and the argument later turned nasty which result in a fight that spilled out into the street.
OMG Ghana also reported that as the fight raged on, Jim dashed to his car and was about pulling out a gun when he was prevented by the gathering crowd, while the other guy dashed off in his car only to surface with some policemen who arrested Jim and took him away.
The report concluded that Jim was later released and went back to the café.

A few days ago, news was all over the place that Nigerian actor, Jim Iyke, had finally proposed to Ghanaian actress, Nadia Buari, as the pretty lady was spotted with a ring on finger.
Speculation became rife that the ring must have been an engagement ring from Jim, but the actress cum producer has come out to say she is not engaged to Jim, stressing that she bought the ring herself.
Reacting to the rumours in an interview with Myjoyonline.com, Nadia dispelled the report, saying the media are always bent on making news out of nothing.
Stretching her beautiful, delicate fingers to show some rings, she said, “When you look at these rings, I think there are three of the same kind of ring; so is this an engagement ring? I think you guys want to make a story out of nothing.”

Actor Charles Okafor Finds Christ

 

Nollywood veteran actor, Charles Okafor, may have been out of the movie industry for sometime now but his new passion is what is sustaining him.
The actor who was one of the few stars that made the Nigerian home-video sector what it was right from inception, says he has now found the most important thing in his life and that is Jesus Christ.
In a recent interview, Charles Okafor confessed that the reason he has not been very visible in the industry is because he is now a born again Christian and that he cannot serve God and Marmon at the same time.
“I've been lying low for a while because I diverted into advocacy and human-angle films as a consequence of my new found faith. I’m still a career actor and a film maker but I am mindful of the scripts I do.
"A time come in the life of any professional when he seats back and takes stock of his professional issues and the legacy he wants to leave behind from the spiritual standpoint of view. You cannot just do any kind of film anymore if you’re going to be the light to the nations of the world. We must be seen in the context of the things that glorify God in totality.
"You see, you cannot eat your cake and still have it. You cannot serve God and serve Marmon. You must clearly define where you stand. I have put my hands to the plow so I shouldn't look back but that does not remove the fact that I’m still a career actor and film maker,” he said.

Oprah Winfrey Receives Presidential Medal Of Freedom

Legendary talk show host, Oprah Winfrey has been honored with the prestigious Presidential Medal of Freedom. The Forbes’ most powerful celebrity received her award alongside 15 other dignitaries at the White House yesterday, Nov. 20 from President Barack Obama himself.

Oprah, 59, receives America’s highest civilian honor in a form-fitting black, A-line dress and her signature wig. She and the 15 other recipients including former president Bill Clinton, MLB Hall of Famer, Ernie Banks and women’s rights advocate Gloria Steinem were honored for the meritorious contributions to the security or national interests of the Unites States, to world peace, culture and other significant public endeavors.

President Obama explains that Oprah had reached the pinnacle of the entertainment world and become the country’s first black female billionaire to get this honor. He further advised the overwhelmed publicist and philanthropist to “change your name”. She was reportedly told to go as “Susie”.

Sixteen people received the award, including former Sen. Richard Lugar, R-Ind., former Washington Post executive editor Ben Bradlee, country singer Loretta Lynn and former University of North Carolina coach Dean Smith. Awards were also given posthumously to the late Sen. Daniel Inouye, D-Hawaii, and Sally Ride, the first female astronaut to travel to space.

Grammy award winners Eminem and Rihanna were in Detroit yesterday to shoot the video of their number one hit song, “The Monster” and both also had time for a loving and peaceful picture. The two super famous hit makers are not unveiling details behind the shoot but are allegedly giving their fans more details on their relationship.

Ghanaian Actor, John Dumelo Builds Hotel In Lagos

Ghanaian born top actor, John Dumelo has shown that he has a sharp business mind aside his acting talent, as he has built a massive hotel in Lagos State, Nigeria, called Maselo Apartment Hotel, which we hear, has set him back by several millions of dollars.

The gifted actor is delving into the hospitality business in Nigeria following the success recorded by the Ghanaian arm of the hotel which is located at East Airport, Accra, Ghana.

The grand opening for the hotel will come up on the 1st of December, 2013, as plans have been put in place to make it a talk of the town opening ceremony.

Apart from his hotel business, Dumelo is a philanthropist of repute and has been using his foundation, John Dumelo Foundation, to help indigent students.

Recently, the organization donated GH¢3,000 to the Students Financial Aid Office of the University of Ghana, Legon, as part of a scholarship package for two students who are brilliant but lack the financial backing to complete their courses at the university. He has also visited several deprived schools and homes across Africa to donate items to them.

Apart from the hospitality business, Dumelo has his hands into movie production and fashion business which he established in South Africa months ago.

Chris Brown Forced Back Into Rehab Or Go To Jail

Troubled singer Chris Brown has been ordered to get back to anger management program for 90 more days after he was reportedly kicked out for shooting a rock at his mother’s [Joyce] car in Malibu last week. The singer, accompanied by his girlfriend, Karrueche Tran received the news in an LA court yesterday, Nov. 20.

It Seems Brown actually dodged the bullet of heading to jail instead after he also violated his probation last month by allegedly involving himself in a fight in Washington DC. The singer was probably sweating in his pants as he attended a progress report hearing in LA yesterday morning. well, his on-and-off girlfriend, Karreuche was there to hold his hands as comfort.

Reports say he got off a little easy as the judge over his probation case ordered him back to the anger management rehab for 90 days and it’s a must he stays there this time. To add to the 90 days, Brown will be expected to carry out random drug tests, take prescription pills, do 24 hours of community service and he can’t leave Los Angeles County except he is going to court.

Mind you, the Fine China star also has a pending 1000 hours of community service to deal with from his original probation and he is still to face other assault charges from the alleged fight in D.C. It’s a fact that if found guilty of that, Brown could be facing a minimum of four years in prison.

Meet Nigerian Model Who Was Once Male

Who would believe that this pretty Nigerian model and singer who goes by the name, Miss Sahhara, is a transgender and was once a male?

Well, this much she revealed during the World Transgender Day of Remembrance that she was harassed and jailed in Nigeria for being a transgender and she even attempted suicide but is now proud and free in the United Kingdom where she has found her likes and has been accepted.

This is part of what she wrote: “I am standing in front of the mirror looking at my reflection. Tears of joy trickle down my rouged cheek before going on stage. I am in tears because I just can’t believe how realistic my dreams have become. I am a woman!

“Living my life freely; accepted and respected for my achievements as a model and a performer. I did not imagine life could be this amazing many years ago after being released from a horrid Nigerian prison for being different.

“Then all I could think was I could die in this prison and no one will know or care. Being imprisoned felt justifiable, considering I was being punished for being ‘gay’ – something they assumed due to my feminine features and mannerisms.

“I wasn’t gay, I am a woman born differently due to natural defects. I was born male but my brain, gestures, features and carriage functioned as female.

“I dreamt of being free to be myself, free of insults, free of judgment and free from harassments. That freedom came when I moved to the United Kingdom, finding girls like me gave me hope of not being alone in my journey of self-discovery.”

Since on Sunday when Peter Okoye and Lola Omotayo had their traditional marriage, a lot of stories has been flying around as to the reason why majority of Peter Okoye's family were not present at the marriage of their very prosperous son.

According the NET: On Sunday, November 17, 2013, Lagos stood still for Psquare‘s Peter Okoye and fiancée Lola Omotayo as the couple held their traditional wedding ceremony, surprisingly elder brother Jude Okoye was missing. Social network has been buzzing.

The twins’ publicist Bayo Adetu said Jude was missing at the wedding because he was stuck in Ghana. Psquare had performed in Accra, Ghana at the ‘Glo and Bounce Slide‘ tour the night before. Adetu says Jude missed his flight and couldn’t get back to Lagos in time for the nuptials.

But a source who was part of another artiste’s entourage to Ghana for the concert says Jude Okoye did NOT travel to Ghana. ‘We didn’t see him, the twins were here with their band but we didn’t see Jude‘, a source said.

There are few instances pointing to the fact that Jude did not travel with his Pop star twin brothers to Ghana for the concert: Jude, a regular user of photo sharing Instagram never fails to post photos of their trip outside Nigeria – there were no photos of him aboard the airplane heading to GH, photos of the twins performing
at the concert.

One source asks: ‘If he was truly stuck in Ghana, wouldn’t he have even lamented on Twitter like D’banj?‘.

Instead Jude posted a photo of himself and Wizkid in the studio. The picture is believed to have been taken a
night before at the Mavin Records studio where he had been working with Don Jazzy, Dr SID, Phyno and others. Inside sources in the Okoye family revealed that Jude Okoye and a few other family members did not support their brother’s marriage to his baby mama Lola Omotayo. Some sources also also claim their late mother never supported the relationship too.

"Jude and some others don’t like her. They never gave their blessing for the marriage. Paul too, but he is his
twin. Other family members who were there were reluctant to attend. Jude didn’t go because he never supported the idea from day one", a family source tells us.

Some of the Okoye family members have even gone as far as insinuating that Lola Omotayo has allegedly
constantly cheated on Peter Okoye. It was gathered there have been demands for a DNA test to really
ascertain whether his children Cameron and Aliona are truly his. "It’s that serious, they claim Lola sleeps around with her so called ‘uncles’, they want a DNA test done, they just want to protect their brother."

This allegations have not been confirmed, and Adetu insists there are no issues, stressing that Jude was only MIA because he was stuck in Ghana. One of the couple’s friends also told us all these are ‘wicked rumours’.

‘Wicked, false rumours. Nothing can be more false and distasteful. They should leave them alone and let them have peace…’

Lola currently lives in a mansion in Park View estate, Ikoyi. The Okoyes are currently building their new home somewhere not to far from there. It is uncertain where the couple will make their home.

Scott Wolf Announces Wife's Third Pregnancy

Scott Wolf is is going to make it "Party of Five". The actor announced on Tuesday, November 19 that his wife Kelley Limp is pregnant with their third child. The baby girl will arrive in may 2014. "I will be the first to say, yes, we are a party of five," he told Access Hollywood's Billy Bush, referring to his former television show. The couple are already parents to sons Jackson, 4, and Miller, 1.

Wolf began dating Limp back in 2002 after meeting through a mutual friend Joel Goldman in New York City and she had appeared on MTV's "The Real World: New Orleans". They got married in May 2004 and their first child was born five years later.

Wolf is a particularly dotting father, often posting photos of his sons on Twitter. Soon after sharing the third pregnancy news, Wolf was spotted taking Jackson to the world premiere of Disney's "Frozen". He tweeted, "At the Premiere of #Frozen with my boy Jackson. He wants the organ guy gone, ready for the big show."

Award winning Nigerian artist, D’banj has been in Cape Town, South Africa working on his newestvideo. The singer who a few days ago complained about his lack of a private jet which would have enabled him to attend the wedding of P-square’s Peter decided to choose a more ancient means of transportation.

The setting of the video included a sunny beach side and D’banj dressed in ensembles of white.
